As both a business owner and attorney with over 30 years of transactional experience, I purchased my Sunbelt franchises because I wanted to provide sellers and buyers the most professional, experienced, and ethical business brokerage advice available. My background includes significant business ownership experience. I started, built, and sold four businesses of my own prior to purchasing Sunbelt. The businesses I founded and later sold included a manufacturing operation that was grossing over $5,000,000 at the time of sale. I also owned and operated a coast-to-coast trucking company, an import company, and a national independent sales representative organization. As president of each company, I personally experienced many of the same concerns realized by sellers and buyers of any small business. Being responsible for the day-to-day operations of those businesses as well as all the details associated with the sale of each company provided me a similar perspective to the process as realized by our clients.

Born and raised in the Midwest, I recognize the strong work ethic required to successfully own and operate a small business. Prior to joining the Sunbelt team as a business broker, I managed a small business for years and later owned and operated two separate small businesses for over twenty years. I bring to the position significant experience in public relations, as well as a keen eye to the details of effective office administration. Throughout the years, I have truly enjoyed living and working in central Nebraska. I received my degree in business from Kearney State College (University of Nebraska-Kearney). After college, I joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) serving as a commissioned bank examiner for seven years. I left the FDIC to begin work at a local community bank and within two years was promoted to bank president. I served in that capacity for 25 years. During my years at the bank, I built key relationships with many folks in the surrounding communities. I have met with hundreds of business owners and I am intimately familiar with a wide variety of lending vehicles, including Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. During my tenure at the bank, I served on the board of the Nebraska Bankers Association. Also, I am a licensed real estate appraiser.

Beyond my banking experience, I have been involved in a variety of business and community organizations such as the local Chamber of Commerce, the Sherman County Economic Development Board, and the Valley County Health System Foundation.

I am delighted to join Sunbelt of Nebraska serving sellers and buyers of small businesses in the central portion of our great state. As a seasoned banker, I recognize the many nuances of small business operations and finance, thereby bringing valuable perspective and extensive expertise to bear on the many details of the process.
