Exit Strategy Planning – One Chance to Get it Right.

Selling a business is a one-time event for most business owners.  There are many ways to get it wrong, but only a thoughtful, well planned strategy will help an owner get it right.

For business owners, the sale of the business they’ve built should provide a significant return on their investment of blood, sweat, tears, time and capital.  However, many business owners don’t get the value for their business they want, need or expect.  Often, though, they will get what they deserve.

This might sound harsh, but the reality is that most owners don’t think about their exit in a strategic way.   The way to achieve the maximum value for a business is not for an owner to cross their fingers and hope they’ll get some crazy high multiple of earnings the guys at the clubhouse have suggested, but too often that’s what happens.  The result is like a head-on collision of fantasy meeting reality.

At Sunbelt Business Advisors of Southwest Ohio we want business owners to achieve their goals and we can help them through every step of the process.  Sunbelt uses a proven methodology to manage the process of selling its clients’ businesses. Learn more about the Exit Strategy Planning process
