With over 37 years of executive leadership, ownership, and entrepreneurial experience, Marty Cayton serves as the dedicated Franchise Owner of Sunbelt Business Brokers, covering Fayetteville, Wilmington, and Greenville, NC, which comprise the majority of Eastern North Carolina. Marty is a seasoned veteran in the transaction space, having personally started, bought, or sold at least 19 businesses, expertly navigating transactions ranging from Main Street deals to complex, large-scale private equity exits. His diverse background includes extensive experience in Managed IT Service Providers (MSPs), LMR communications, multi-location and franchise operations, as well as commercial real estate ownership and development, including 1031 exchanges. His most recent notable transaction was a significant seven-figure sale in 2022 of his MSP business to a boutique private equity firm.
