After experiences in sales and as a retail stockbroker with a major Wall Street firm, he obtained his first business. He franchised his first small B2B firm into 40+ locations. Mark then started a small wholesale distributor that grew to reach $6 million+ in sales, eventually selling the business to a firm four times its size. Because of his own experience running and growing small businesses, Mark wants to help small business owners reach their goals. He believes that small businesses are the most important businesses in America. Mark is designated a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). Tom has worked, lived, and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., and Internationally, including North Carolina for more than 40 years. He has 25+ years of Executive management experience in finance, retail, marketing, service, consulting, and operations. He has worked as a Senior Certified Business Broker in various states 16+ years after holding executive positions in the petroleum industry, as well as being President of a management and consulting services corporation. He holds degrees in Liberal Arts and Business Management. As a Senior Certified business broker, he has extensive experience working with various sizes of businesses, and holds a real estate broker’s license in NC and SC for when land and building may be part of a sale. He is a Charter member of the Carolina-Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA, which includes both Carolinas and Virginia). Tom is a candidate for the prestigious credentials/designation of CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) on an International level within the industry association of the IBBA (International Business Brokers Association). Jim has owned and sold 3 businesses, and is the founder and President of Triangle Management Group, Inc., established in 1998. He originally came from Denver Colorado to Raleigh, NC to work as a corporate executive for Sunoco’s retail division and started his career as a Business Broker/Advisor in 1996. During the last 18 years in general business brokerage he has performed valuations of hundreds of businesses for sellers and buyers, and has been involved in over 200 transactions ranging from $25,000 to $10,000,000.
