Sunbelt of Boston Managing Broker Receives Inaugural IBBA Rising Star Award

Sunbelt Business Brokers of Greater Boston, MA & RI is proud to announce that Managing Broker & Principal Tony Pompeo, MBA, CMSBB, has been named the recipient of the inaugural Rising Star Award by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA).

The Rising Star Award recognizes a fast-tracking business broker who demonstrates exceptional promise, professionalism, and achievement early in their career. The award honors members who have quickly made a positive impact through strong deal performance, ethical conduct, and engagement within the IBBA community.

The award was presented at the 2026 IBBA Annual Conference before an audience of business brokers and M&A advisors from around the Globe. The IBBA is the world’s largest professional association for business brokers and M&A advisors, representing more than 3,000 members worldwide.

Pompeo joined the business brokerage profession after a successful career as a business owner and operator. Since entering the industry, he has focused on helping lower middle market and main street business owners navigate the complexities of selling, buying, and transitioning privately held companies. He currently serves as Managing Broker & Principal of Sunbelt Business Brokers of Greater Boston, MA & RI, and as a Board Member of the New England Business Brokers Association (NEBBA).
