About Us
The Charlotte office is the oldest franchise of the Sunbelt system. They have been a top producing office for many years, and one of the largest business brokerages in the southeast. The office concentrates on small M & A transactions as well as an extensive list of main street and mid-market clients. Their primary focus is on manufacturing, distribution and service related businesses.
Office Owner
Lynn is the owner of the Sunbelt Business Brokers office in Charlotte, NC. He has 35 years of business experience, with a focus on creating customized business solutions. He lived or worked full time in Europe and Latin America for 20 years of his professional life. Most of his career involved creating and operating outsourcing contracts for one of the world's largest outsourcers, and later as an international consultant specialized in supporting buyers of outsourcing services.
Lynn holds a Bachelor's degree from Oregon State University and a Master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management. As a young man he served in the United States Marine Corps. He speaks French and Spanish.
Lynn holds the Sunbelt CMSBB certification and is a Certified Business Intermediary. He is a licensed real estate broker in both North Carolina and South Carolina as well as a member of IBBA, CVBBA and M&A Source professional organizations for Business Brokers.

Bill started the Charlotte office in 1992 and serves as President of Sunbelt Charlotte office. He is well known in the Carolina's as being a specialist in handling manufacturing related companies. His office has sold hundreds of businesses with total transaction values well in excess of $100,000,000.
Bill is a 1983 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. During his accounting profession, Bill worked for various manufacturing companies and financial institutions as an internal auditor, investment accountant, banking supervisor, real estate development controller and financial analyst. In 1992, Bill founded Sunbelt's fourth office in Charlotte. Of Sunbelt's nearly 300 offices nationwide, the Charlotte office has consistently been either its top producing office nationwide or top producer on the east coast.
In 1996, Bill affiliated his office with the International Business Brokers Association and its Mergers and Acquisitions Group; The M & A Source. During the first year of IBBA membership, Bill obtained the association's professional designation of Certified Business Intermediary. He has since served as a speaker/instructor at several of IBBA's national educational training conferences. Bill spends much of his time on mid-market transactions in various industries, but specializes in the sale of manufacturing businesses to corporate entities and financial buyers. Some of his transactions have exceeded $20 Million in sales price with some involving multiple sales of companies to buyers within a particular industry. Bill spends much of his time working with manufacturing clients and buyers throughout the southeast, especially CNC Machine Shops, Tool & Die, and Metal Fabrication related companies.

Peter was educated in England and has been resident in the U.S. since 1986. Peter Coleman comes to the business brokerage industry with a background of over 20 years in the publishing, investment banking and the maritime industry. He was a documentary credits specialist and was a member of several international trade delegations to Eastern Europe.
After nearly ten years in business brokerage, including four years of ownership of his own Sunbelt offices in South Mississippi, he has built up a specialization in health care related businesses, the hospitality industry and franchise resale. Peter completed all the required courses and was awarded the IBBA qualification of Certified Business Intermediary in 2001. He is an accomplished public speaker and often speaks to business groups about the subject of “Maximizing the Value of your Business” and “Preparing your Business for Sale”. In his spare time he has been very involved in coaching Track and Field in addition to being a board member of the local Historical Society. He is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina as well as a member of IBBA & CBBA.
Buddy is a native of Gaston County in North Carolina and has a background in real estate investments and the building contractor industry. Buddy received his undergraduate degree from Belmont Abbey College and his Master’s Degree from UNC-Charlotte and his Ed. D. from Appalachian State University. He finished his 31 year career in education in 2001 when he retired as the Principal of Mooresville High School. He is also a graduate of the Principal's Executive Program at UNC-Chapel Hill and is a past president of the Mooresville-Lake Norman Rotary Club. Buddy specializes in HVAC companies for the past 6 years. He is a member of IBBA and NEA.

Jim came to Sunbelt in 2009 with 25 years of leadership experience in technology management, securities operations, banking systems, sales and auditing. He managed large scale systems development and technology projects, conversions, and outsourcing initiatives. He owned his own catering business in Long Island New York and held various management positions in the hospitality industry. Jim completed all the required courses and was awarded the International Business Brokers Association's qualification of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) in 2010. Jim is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina as well as a member of the International Business Brokers Association and Business Leaders of Charlotte.
Connie has both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from Seoul National University, Korea. She studied Marketing at California State University, Northridge. She is Fluent in English and Korean. Previously she worked in sales and marketing for large manufacturing companies (Hyundai, Samsung and, LG) as well as the high-end fashion industry. She has completed dozens of transactions including manufacturing companies, distribution companies, and retail businesses, food service businesses and service businesses. She's experienced in closing complex deals. In addition to her Sunbelt Business brokers Charlotte experience, she worked at Sunbelt Business Sales & Acquisitions in Los Angeles, CA. She has earned the Certified Business Broker credential from California Association of Business Brokers, holds Sunbelt's CMSBB certification and is a licensed NC real estate professional. She is a member of IBBA.
He served as President and Secretary of both the Asheboro and High Point Kiwanis Clubs. Ken served as Campaign Chair and President of the United Way of Asheboro and High Point. He is a past President of the local Chamber of Commerce and serves as a member and as a Director of the Board of Realtors. Ken was the founding President of the Little League of High Point. Ken and his wife, Linda, reside in Asheboro, NC. They enjoy traveling to Colorado and Wyoming to see their sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Ken is licensed as a NC Real Estate Agent, holds Sunbelt's CMSBB certification and a member of both IBBA & CVBBA.
Ed has represented the Sunbelt Charlotte office since 1995 and successfully completed deals from one end of the business spectrum to the other. Previous to his 16 years as a business intermediary, he owned a business in the direct marketing industry and, as a result, is experienced in addressing the specific needs of clients operating large and small businesses alike. He has completed various courses offered by IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in NC & SC.
