His responsibilities, ranging from strategic guidance and overview to hands-on implementation, has given him a unique perspective for analyzing and presenting the strategic value of a company and in identifying appropriate candidates for corporate sale, merger or acquisition. Douglas’s versatility and problem-solving ability in this wide variety of industries has given him the ability to recognize potential issues and opportunities unique to both buyer and seller, along with the experience necessary to develop solutions to problems, and suggest a deal structure that will maximize the benefits of, a business sale transaction.

Doug is an expert at finding, building and managing relationships that can result in successful completion to complex, difficult and obstacle-ridden transactions, and bringing those transactions to fruitful closure.

He has been a pioneer in adapting solar power to exploit the energy-use profile of food-processing companies. Douglas’s clients included the first solar-powered winery in the Santa Cruz mountains and the first commercial-sized solar power system in California to be installed and operated without a government subsidy rebate.

Douglas, an Academic All-American, received his degree from northern California’s Chico State University, where he was a key member of its football team. He subsequently served as an adventure sport guide in the Greek islands leading clients in cliff diving and snorkeling. He enjoys cooking, gardening & raising his son in Livermore, CA, where he’s lived since 2011.
