Born in Australia, Craig spent his childhood actively participating in numerous sports as well as summer holidays working in the family business. It was this will to compete and quest for knowledge that allowed Craig to represent his country at numerous world championships in the sporting area which eventually led into pursuing a business career while traveling and competing abroad. After moving to Vancouver in 1991, Craig pursued professional golf for a short period before moving full time into the business world. It was Craig’s pursuit of excellence that quickly had him move through the ranks and become a leading consultant and senior executive to one of the world’s largest travel organizations. During this period, Craig was involved in day-to-day operations as well as retail lease negotiations, recruitment and training, financial forecasting, and the study of demographics for growth and expansion. After several years in the airline and travel industry, Craig pursued a new entrepreneurial venture and purchased a business in the playground and amusement industry. After a successful period which reflected a 400% growth in sales revenue over a five year period, Craig sold his business shared before undertaking numerous consulting roles in the Okanagan Valley. Jeffrey is the youngest broker in the team at Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd., bringing a diverse background of experience and a pursuit for growth and excellence that aligns well with Pacific’s values and principles. His early life was dedicated to the pursuit of professional football (soccer), and when it was time to hang up his cleats, he turned to entrepreneurship to fill the void. As a young entrepreneur, Jeffrey delved into various industries gaining valuable start-up experience including tobacco, music talent management, food processing, packaged consumer snack foods, and sales/distribution. After finding discontent in a full-time position, it became clear that entrepreneurship needed to be a critical aspect of work life in his long-term outlook, and when Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. presented itself as an opportunity, all the pieces of the pie seemed to fall into place. In addition to years in the world of start-ups, Jeffrey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Capilano University School of Business and is currently in the process of obtaining accreditation as a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) as administered by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). Outside of work, Jeffrey enjoys supporting his football club Liverpool FC, hiking, cycling, golfing, and the culinary arts (mainly eating). Kent Carter is a third-generation entrepreneur who, in addition to investing in and running his own family businesses, has held senior executive roles in enterprises ranging from start-ups to publicly listed companies. He has a broad background in operations, management, corporate investment, capital raising, and M&A. Born in Saskatchewan and raised in Vancouver, Kent attended UBC where he graduated with a degree in engineering. After starting his career in consulting in Vancouver, he moved to Sydney, Australia, where he continued his studies in economics and finance. This led to a number of new opportunities and international postings. He was based in Asia for more than 25 years, where he held positions including Senior VP M&A for the China division of a NYSE-listed utility company, Managing Director of an investment firm under the sovereign wealth fund of Malaysia, and senior advisor to a boutique investment bank in Singapore. Kent has extensive experience in the structuring, analysis, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation of business acquisition / divestment transactions, having assessed hundreds as such opportunities and closed deals totalling more than $200 million (CAD) in value. As an entrepreneur, Kent has started up and acted as principal investor in three businesses of his own in the F&B, online / offline retail, and corporate advisory spaces. He has also served on the boards of numerous companies. With Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd., Kent’s mission is to help buyers and sellers of businesses achieve their entrepreneurial and personal goals in what can be the most important, exciting but sometimes stressful financial decision they may make in their life. Amanda Reale joined Pacific M&A and Business Brokers Ltd. in 2011 with a long history of business ownership and development. Schooled as an educator at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, Amanda left the discipline early on in favour of a career in business development. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs fostered her spirit to explore companies that made sound financial sense and had reasonably instant cash flow. Her first foray into business was an automotive interior trim franchise with a large BC territory. Six years later, she successfully sub-franchised the business interests into three separate territories and subsequently sold all three to new operators. At the same time and inspired to satisfy her creative nature, she began the development of a silk-screening company with a focus on wholesale printing of textiles, garments, and other printable substrates. Later she added a small-to-medium format sign manufacturing shop under a separate division – both operated for 15 years in the Vancouver area. After 22 years, her start-up companies are now sold and continue to operate under new ownership - a satisfying testament to some acquired skilled, mentorship, and a fair amount of sweat equity. A return to Business School (Sauder School of Business, UBC) inspired Amanda to begin a search to acquire a profitable existing business. In the process, she was invited to join Pacific M&A and Business Brokers as a Senior Intermediary, to work on the sell and buy-side transaction of multiple companies from a broad cross-section of industries. Assisting and facilitating the transition of a seller or a buyer to their next venture, while at the same time avoiding the numerous potential "potholes" of deal collapse, is a symphony of skills Amanda brings to each stage in the process from valuation to closing. Amanda has achieved the professional designation of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) and is a member in good standing of the International Business Brokers Association where she recently received the Chairman's Circle Award for successful transaction achievement. She is the Past President of IBBA Canada and has served on the Board of Directors since 2012 – promoting the professional integrity of brokered transactions. Ian is a 10+ year seasoned M&A Advisor and Business Broker, and over the years has completed transactions ranging from smaller Main Street deals to much larger Middle Market multi-million dollar offerings. He is a Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), and has been presented with the International Business Broker Association's Outstanding Producer Award 2016 and 2017, and the Chairman's Circle Award for 2017, and will be receiving his Mergers & Acquisitions Master Intermediary (M&AMI) designation in 2018. A native of the UK, Ian arrived in Vancouver in 1988 and immediately became involved in the dynamic Canadian business world. While living in Canada, he has gained over 20 years experience working in electronics distribution, and supporting small to medium business enterprises. During this time, Ian worked in all facets of a multi-million dollar company taking on roles from Operations and Product Flow Management to Sales, Marketing, and finally senior management. Through his experience, and his role as VP International Sales and Marketing, Ian worked with teams covering three continents around the world and was instrumental in the sale of a major division of this business. As a result, Ian fully understands the process and attention to detail needed to successfully complete a business sale. Andrew has shared his senior executive expertise as a business consultant to various technology companies and has spent a number of years as a Board Member at a BC Crown Corporation. In addition to his corporate background, Andrew has a strong entrepreneurial drive which lead him to successfully launch his own consumer packaged goods business in a highly competitive global marketplace.
