Aaron Comeaux is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of diverse business experience as both a corporate executive and business owner. With Sunbelt, Mr. Comeaux has personally participated in and directed over 550 business sale transactions since 1998.
PRIMARY INDUSTRIES OF EXPERIENCE: Over the past 20+ years include Manufacturing (various including metal, plastics and wood), Construction (HVAC, architectural, plumbing, electrical), Medical Services (DME, Home Health, Hospice), Transportation (trucking – long and short haul), Industrial Services (non-destructive testing, staffing, environmental), Distribution (all types) and Main Street Businesses (all including restaurants, bars, special event venues, and child care services).
Aaron has a BS in Marketing from LSU and an MBA from UNO. Originally from Scott, LA, he raised his family in Baton Rouge, with his wife of 32 years, Lisa Gegenheimer Comeaux. In 2016, with kids away at college, Mr. Comeaux decided to move to Dallas.
Aaron began his career as Marketing Manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. During this period, he started and subsequently sold a national direct catalog marketing company that specialized in the resale of internationally manufactured products. After selling the direct marketing company, Aaron entered the medical services market with the start-up/expansion of an existing, regional durable medical equipment company. This experience led to additional medical opportunities for Mr. Comeaux in the home health services industry.
In 1994, Aaron started and operated his own home health services company for six years while advising and consulting numerous business clients on starting, licensing and accrediting new medical service entities. He is very experienced in handling the challenges while harnessing the opportunities of the medical services industry. Aaron has abundant experience in durable medical equipment operations, home health agencies and hospices. It should be noted that his wife Lisa has been a full-time hospice nurse for the past 26 years.
Looking for new challenges and experience, Aaron purchased a 20-year-old, lift and logistics company that was in dire condition. He immediately started a comprehensive turnaround program with a successful resale within a two-year period. During that restructure, he realized his unique interest and acuity in analyzing businesses and creating business transactions.
In 1998, Aaron purchased an existing merger acquisition advisory firm. Immediately, he began focusing on creating successful business sale transactions in the middle market. Aaron brings a unique breadth of knowledge and experience assisting clients to realize their goals.
