Communication – The First Tool in the Box

The most valuable asset to any deal is active and consistent communication between a buyer and seller that is facilitated by the Business Broker. As Business Brokers, it is our job to maintain the flow of communication between an active buyer with a seller, as well as mediate, answer any questions, and prepare necessary tools for both parties. Taking away the emotional side from the seller can be an advantage to finalizing a sale.

Communication is not a 9-5 job. I have found that a lot of my mediating happens in the evening and can occur on the weekends. Keeping a deal on track from beginning to end is a necessity and a delicate balance. An essential part of Business Brokerage is taking any headaches from our listed client (typically a seller). While they focus on running their business, we work the deal for them from start to finish which includes a business valuation, marketing, vetting potential buyers, negotiation of price and terms, helping buyers secure financing, and all details through closing. The only way to successfully orchestrate all the spinning plates and keep it running smoothly is keeping a pulse on communication for both sides. By working as the mediator between the buyer and seller at all times, we ensure a smooth transaction for both parties.
