Stomel Company, a $500 million multi-division distribution company, Vice President of Purchasing at McLane Company, a $2.5 billion multi-division distribution company, and General Manager of Allied Merchandising Industry, a subsidiary of Core-Mark International. He has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the General Merchandise Distributors Council. He also served on the National Housewares Manufacturers Advisory Board and the Board of Directors of the Non-Food Merchandising Association. In addition to senior management responsibilities and bottom-line improvement of all companies associated with, Joe initiated and completed acquisitions of several companies in the same industry. After a rewarding career in distribution, Joe took his hobby of classic car restoration to new heights through the purchase of a Maaco Collision and Auto Painting Franchise. Starting from zero, in a relatively short seven years, Joe sold the business with sales of $1.2 million and over 11,000 vehicles painted and repaired, winning Maaco's Top Performance Award. Joe sold his Maaco franchise in 2005 at which time it was the highest priced Maaco resale in Maaco's history. Joe attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and the Armour Dial Management Institute, Phoenix, AZ.

Jim began his career with IBM, spent seven years in various marketing and geographic industry management positions, then moved to the Oil & Gas industry where he became an officer of a small exploration and drilling company. He subsequently co-founded an investment banking company, a securities broker-dealer and a real estate brokerage firm. He specialized in the capitalization, acquisition and operations of several business entities, some of which he continues to serve as a board member. Jim also has an extensive background in the real estate industry, most recently, as a mortgage banker with an institutional lender. He has provided financing for residential real estate borrowers, homebuilders and commercial properties and businesses. He is also a principal and co-founder of a firm that is involved in the development of senior affordable housing. In addition to serving on the boards of two emerging-growth, technology-based companies, he is also a founding partner of The Resource Board, a mentoring entity for emerging growth businesses. Jim earned a B.S. from the University of Wyoming with a triple major in Economics, Mathematics-Statistics, and French, then continued his education with graduate work in the MBA program at the University of Colorado, specializing in Finance.

Prior to joining Sunbelt, Adam H. Shamel, MBA, worked as a business consultant with Andersen Consulting in their Business Consulting Practice. He worked in numerous industries and was responsible for providing valuation and feasibility analyses, as well as generating innovative methods to develop and improve business processes using various forecasting models and other quantitative tools. He also worked as a Mergers & Acquisitions Senior Manager of two publicly traded billion dollar companies. He has managed over 30 deals from the initial strategic business justification review to closing.
Adam arranges, structures and negotiates business sales, mergers and acquisitions. He is a deal-maker and business financial analyst providing perspective in the entrepreneurial discipline with operational experience within both the private and public sectors. His work in these domains has been guided by a passion to assist the builders of enterprises to grow their businesses, maximize value, effect successful transitions and protect the assets they have created.
