Mr. Atchison has financial, sales/marketing and general management skills.  Joe's last position in corporate America was as the President/CEO of a manufacturing company in Irvine, CA for 11 years.  In that role he focused the company's efforts on new product development (five patents issued), manufacturing efficiencies (gross margins increased from 23% to 52%) quality (achieved ISO9001 and QS9000 certifications), and a strong emphasis on sales, marketing and customer service resulting i double digit sales growth.  Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of two publicly traded companies.  Durig his corporate career, Mr. Atchison was successful in selling a number of divisions, subsidiaries and stand alone businesses.   These successes motivated Joe to start his Sunbelt Business Brokers office.

Mr. Atchison is also President of Atchison Advisory, Inc., which provides operational improvement consulting to under performing companies in an effort to help them achieve their potential and thus be able to sell sooner and at a better price and favorable terms.  

Mr. Atchison is a Certified Business Intermediary (International Business Brokers Association), a Certified Business Broker (California Business Brokers Association), and is a Certified Public Accountant  (State of California).  His education includes a bachelors of science in accounting and a Masters in Business Administration - Finance.   Joe is on the Board of Advisors of Oak Grove, a non-profit educational and residential treatment center for children.

Ms. Uzma Akhtar has a background in banking, finance, and sales. During her banking career, Uzma interacted extensively with, and arranged financing for, businesses, non-profit institutions, faith based institutions, and commercial real estate borrowers. Andrea started her career as a teacher. She retired when her first of three children arrived but returned to teaching to home school her children through high school. The Lord blessed her efforts yielding three college graduates (two Summa Cum Lauds, including a valedictorian who continued on through medical school, with honors). Andrea is the backbone of the Riverside office with people oriented organizational skills. She is currently studying for the California Real Estate Agent examination. Vince Castelluccio is a native of Southern California, a licensed agent specializing in the sale of businesses, and a licensed California real estate appraiser. Doug Keup relates very well with business owners. His career includes 30 years in banking specializing in business lending and business development. Midway through that career he gained 12 years experience and the challenges of an entrepreneur as the general partner in a Real Estate development company and later as a Portfolio Manager for a major Riverside development company.

Mr. Landin brings thirty years of sales, marketing and purchasing experience to Sunbelt. Past experience includes Chief Operating Officer of the J. Stomel Company, a $500 million multi-division distribution company, Vice President of Purchasing at McLane Company, a $2.5 billion multi-division distribution company, and General Manager of Allied Merchandising Industry, a subsidiary of Core-Mark International. He has served two terms on the Board of Directors of the General Merchandise Distributors Council. He also served on the National Housewares Manufacturers Advisory Board and the Board of Directors of the Non-Food Merchandising Association. In addition to senior management responsibilities and bottom-line improvement of all companies associated with, Joe initiated and completed acquisitions of several companies in the same industry. After a rewarding career in distribution, Joe took his hobby of classic car restoration to new heights through the purchase of a Maaco Collision and Auto Painting Franchise. Starting from zero, in a relatively short seven years, Joe sold the business with sales of $1.2 million and over 11,000 vehicles painted and repaired, winning Maaco's Top Performance Award. Joe sold his Maaco franchise in 2005 at which time it was the highest priced Maaco resale in Maaco's history. Joe attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and the Armour Dial Management Institute, Phoenix, AZ.

Jim began his career with IBM, spent seven years in various marketing and geographic industry management positions, then moved to the Oil & Gas industry where he became an officer of a small exploration and drilling company. He subsequently co-founded an investment banking company, a securities broker-dealer and a real estate brokerage firm. He specialized in the capitalization, acquisition and operations of several business entities, some of which he continues to serve as a board member. Jim also has an extensive background in the real estate industry, most recently, as a mortgage banker with an institutional lender. He has provided financing for residential real estate borrowers, homebuilders and commercial properties and businesses. He is also a principal and co-founder of a firm that is involved in the development of senior affordable housing. In addition to serving on the boards of two emerging-growth, technology-based companies, he is also a founding partner of The Resource Board, a mentoring entity for emerging growth businesses. Jim earned a B.S. from the University of Wyoming with a triple major in Economics, Mathematics-Statistics, and French, then continued his education with graduate work in the MBA program at the University of Colorado, specializing in Finance.

Mr. Satterwhite has extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Contract Negotiations. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Todd spent fifteen years in the telecommunication industry where he held positions in Sales and Sales Management. In his role as National Account Manager for Sprint, Todd negotiated multi-year contracts for voice and data services collectively worth over 50 million dollars. These numerous, multi-year business development processes helped create the win/win sales and negotiation strategies that Todd brings to Sunbelt. In addition to his business experience, Todd is also active within the community. For the past five years, Todd has been President of the Board of Directors for the home owners association where he resides. In addition, Todd is a member of Junior Achievement and has participated in JA's "Executives Go Elementary" program. This program sends volunteers from the business community to elementary schools in non-affluent areas to teach students the fundamentals of owning a business.
