John Wilson’s CV includes experience as a CPA, a business appraiser and as a successful entrepreneur, making him uniquely qualified to assist a seller or buyer of a privately held business.

After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, John began his career at the Los Angeles office of Arthur Andersen and Co., where he performed audit engagements and business valuations of manufacturing, financial services, and small business entities. He performed post-transaction purchase price allocations and valued intangible assets, such as oil and gas rights for Texaco and film rights for MGM. He also mediated partnership disputes and helped orchestrate partner buy-outs, including a minority interest buy-out for the rock band Chicago.

After six years of earning the trust of a wide variety of clients, John left Arthur Andersen to start his own business, co-founding a successful publishing house in Orange County. He navigated his startup venture though the fiercely competitive golf publications market where he conceived, designed and launched multiple product lines, including the Red Dot Golf Guide and Coupon Book for Southern California, one of the Auto Club’s highest selling travel guides for 2006.

John and his wife Jennifer reside in Whittier and are active in their community, devoting time to adult literacy programs, the Huntington Hospital and the Whittier Host Lions Club.
