As managing director, Mr. Evert specializes in facilitating the acquisition and sale of middle market businesses in the manufacturing, service and franchise sectors. Mr. Evert has been involved with Sunbelt Business Brokers, an international organization of approximately 300 locations, since 2000. Mr. Evert has served as a member of the Board of Sunbelt since 2002, and negotiated the sale of Sunbelt corporate in 2006. He founded the Sunbelt Franchise Re-sale program in 2002, (which partners with large franchisors to transition franchisees) and continues to direct that initiative. He is the Region Manager and managing partner for Sunbelt in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Chicago, which collectively have 50 associates. He is a licensed business broker, with nearly 25 years experience of buying and selling businesses. Mr. Evert has obtained the Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) designation from the International Business Brokers Association. In addition, Mr. Evert is a financial partner in several businesses. Mr. Evert began his career in the early 80's, when he founded a video distribution business that grew to over $10 million in sales with over 100 employees. He subsequently sold his company to Major Video Concepts, a $400 million distributor and became its V.P. of Sales directing divestures and acquisitions. During his ten year career with Major, Mr. Evert initiated many strategic acquisitions and divestures of companies that had $1-$20 million in sales, as well being instrumental in a $50 million acquisition. In addition, Mr. Evert helped facilitate the sale or acquisition for many of Major's clients. Mr. Evert subsequently joined Sunbelt and resides in the Twin City area with his wife and two children.

Ray Carter is a licensed Minnesota Business Broker. He has over 20 years experience leading finance functions that facilitate strategy development, new business analysis, and refocusing/turnaround of domestic and international operations. RayÂ’s financial management approach including deployment of performance metrics received international recognition as a best practice for supporting and driving business strategy. Prior to joining Sunbelt, he served in a number of financial executive positions including several CFO/ controller roles for Fortune 100 company divisions with revenue over $1 billion. In these positions, Ray participated in numerous acquisitions, divestitures, and deals ranging from $50 thousand to $1 billion. While serving as the top cost executive for a $6 billion HVAC corporation he successfully initiated and drove a complexity reduction process to significantly improve profitability and to strategically refocus the company by rationalizing manufacturing, improving supply management, ensuring competitive designs, and pruning the product offering. The article published about this effort was awarded the IMA Lybrand Gold Medal, and the International Federation of Accountants FMAC Article of Merit as it was judged to have, or will be likely to make, a distinct and valuable contribution to the advancement of management accounting. Ray has a B.A. with emphasis in accounting from Howard University and earned a MBA from the William E. Simon School of Business, University of Rochester. He is a former member of the Turnaround Management Association and has held cost management, cost improvement, and performance measurement seminars throughout the world. Bob Harris

After graduating from Augsburg College with a degree in Finance (minor in Accounting), Bob started a transportation/logistics company which grew to 93 employees and over $3,000,000 in revenues. He sold the company to Fidelity Capital, a division of Fidelity Investments. Bob has also been a general manager for a large respiratory health care company and managed an accounting/financial consulting service for Robert Half International before joining Sunbelt Business Brokers as a licensed business broker in Minnesota.
As a former business owner, Bob has first-hand experience with the challenges of growing and managing a company and can relate to how emotional the process of selling a business can be. In addition to selling his own company, Bob has purchased multiple businesses before and understands what is important from the buyer’s perspective. Bob’s knowledge and abilities will help the business owner position, value and market their business for maximum return.
Bob lives in Prior Lake, Minnesota with his wife Lynne and their two children. He has been active as a coach and volunteer for Prior Lake youth athletics.

She volunteers through community conflict resolution programs and has held many board positions with community organizations, most recently as an Advisor to Citizens for People with Disabilities.
