Mark has a Bachelor of Science in Business from UNC at Chapel Hill. After sales positions he was a retail stockbroker with a major Wall Street firm. His first business was a small B2B firm he franchised into a 40+-location business. During this time he also acted as Registered Options Principle for a regional brokerage firm. His next business was a small wholesale distributor that grew to $6mil+ sales. It was sold as the regional market share leader to a firm four times its size doing a “roll-up” in that industry. Mark believes small businesses are the most important business in America and he wants to help owners reach their goals. |

A seasoned restaurant veteran, Salvatore D'Elia joins the Raleigh office of Sunbelt Business Brokers with 30 years of restaurant and bar experience. In addition Mr. D'Elia has worked as a business broker and consultant specializing in the food and beverage industry. A food and beverage specialist, he will focus on the sales and leasing of restaurant businesses, commercial restaurant properties and all entertainment properties in Raleigh as well as the surrounding areas. Mr. D'Elia will be responsible for assisting restaurant owners in many areas including but not limited to site selection, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and lease negotiations. Mr. D'Elia will also consult with owners on how to increase the value of their business so they may sell at a premium price. It is this hands-on experience as restaurant owner/operator that makes him such an asset to any restaurant owner looking to buy or sell his business. Tom has worked, lived, and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., including North Carolina for more than 30 years. He has 25+ years of Executive management experience in finance, retail, marketing, service, consulting, and operations. Tom joined the Sunbelt team (various states) Jan. 1998 after holding executive positions in the petroleum industry, as well as President of a management and consulting services corporation. He holds degrees in Liberal Arts and Business Management. He has earned the professional brokerage credentials of a Professional Senior Certified Business Advisor, and also holds a real estate brokers license. He is a Charter member of the Carolina-Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA, which includes both Carolinas, and Virginia), and as a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) he is a candidate for the prestigious credentials/designation of CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) on an International level.
