Matt comes from a family business background as the third generation of a 50 year old, $65 million furniture manufacturing company. He watched his father and grandfather grow the business from $10 million in revenue to $65 million revenue in ten years time and spent over seven years working full time in the family business. The key to the businesses success was “to be there for the little guy, always having inventory for a small merchant to pick up by the piece. Based in Southern California with a factory in Tijuana, Mexico, Matt became familiar with all aspects of the business from sales and marketing, to credit and collections, to board room decisions, to international cultures and languages. Matt dealt first hand with how globalization can affect your small business, and learned important strategies to be successful in the new marketplace. Matt also worked in food and hospitality establishments, and is accustomed with the day to day operations and challenges of each business. Matt studied International Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. Matt thrives at bringing people together for a common goal and will work hard to help you achieve those goals.

Jerry Prosio brings to Sunbelt over 30 years experience in serving small and medium size businesses with his expertise in finance, marketing and management. Jerry?s experience includes providing accounting and tax services to businesses of all sizes during his 13 years as a CPA with a large national accounting firm. Jerry was also employed as the Chief Financial Officer with two different specialty retail chains for 20 years. As CFO, Jerry coordinated lease negotiations, financing and development of new retail units as well as sales to third parties. He was involved in the negotiations of the sale of stock of one of the companies, a public company, for a record stock price. Concurrent with his corporate positions, Jerry owned a small restaurant in the Puget Sound area which he Jerry recently sold after 13 years of successful operation. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from San Diego State University.

Prior to being recruited by Sunbelt to open a Seattle office, Nate practiced law in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and general business, with an emphasis in small to medium-sized businesses and franchise businesses. Nate has represented buyers and sellers in deals of all sizes, from $100K to $100M and is intimately familiar and comfortable with all of the details of a business transaction. Nate has worked with lenders to get loans approved and closed, negotiated with landlords on all aspects of leases, and worked with franchisors to get buyers approved and locations transferred to new ownership. Nate distinguished himself with his clients by working with all parties and professionals in a transaction to form practical yet creative solutions to get the deal done and closed. Nate understands and appreciates the challenges and rewards inherent in buying, operating and selling a business and will bring all of his understanding and experience to helping you market and sell your business or acquire a business.
