Tom has worked, lived, and traveled extensively throughout the U.S., including North Carolina for more than 30 years. He has 25+ years of Executive management experience in finance, retail, marketing, service, consulting, and operations. Tom joined the Sunbelt team (various states) Jan. 1998 after holding executive positions in the petroleum industry, as well as President of a management and consulting services corporation. He holds degrees in Liberal Arts and Business Management. He has earned the professional brokerage credentials of a Professional Senior Certified Business Advisor, and also holds a real estate brokers license. He is a Charter member of the Carolina-Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA, which includes both Carolinas, and Virginia), and as a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) he is a candidate for the prestigious credentials/designation of CBI (Certified Business Intermediary) on an International level. He has listed over 300 businesses, and works with a database of in excess of 2,000 buyers in search of retail, service, wholesale, distribution and manufacturing businesses, while being involved with the successful sale of 150+ businesses. Jim Martinez has lived in Raleigh, NC since 1979 and has 35 years of management experience as a corporate executive, multi-retail store owner and President of a Management Consulting Firm. Certified Business Intermediary - Mark Richie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was a stockbroker at a national firm and later a broker and Registered Options Principle at a regional brokerage firm. He then became President of a four-location retail sign company and franchised it into a regional chain. His next business was a start-up wholesale distribution company, which grew to be the market share leader in its region, and was eventually sold to a merchant bank. Mark believes in the valuable role of small business owners in our country and wants to help them reach their goals.
