Jack Picton is the owner-manager of Lancastrian Business Brokers Ltd. based in, Lancashire. He joined the Sunbelt family in late 2005 along with elder son, Thomas, who is the owner-manager of Avon and West Business Brokers Ltd. As a Lancastrian by birth, he returned to his roots after 25 years working internationally in the fast moving consumer goods sector. From school he took a scholarship to the University of Oxford, which was followed by 16 months Voluntary Service Overseas in Kathmandu, Nepal. He then started earning his living as a management trainee with Reckitt & Colman and then spent 15 years working his way up the corporate ladder before undertaking a full time MBA at Cranfield School of Management. This was followed by two years as a consultant with the Saudi Arabian Industrial Development Fund and subsequently a return to the world of international commerce with Clorox International and then Inchcape plc. On returning to Lancashire in 1996, he spent the next 9 years in management consultancy with small and medium sized businesses before joining Sunbelt in 2005.
