With nearly 15 years experience as an independent business owner and a corporate deal maker, Brian Knoderer has the reputation for getting the job done.  He began his entrepreneurial career when he left his corporate job behind to begin an advertising business. Since successfully building and profitably selling his first business, Brian has had many other successful business endeavors, including owning several other franchised as well as independent businesses. He also has held the position of Vice President of Franchise Development at Prime Hospitality and Director of Franchising for Choice Hotels. While there he was responsible for the expansion of the AmeriSuites, Wellesley and Clarion brand hotels, thus further establishing his expertise in both franchising and managing large business deals. This entrepreneurial and business experience enables Brian to expertly bring buyer and seller together and to maximize the value of the business.

Mr. Hester began his career in 1970 as assistant to the President of Standard Life Insurance Company. In 1981, Mr. Hester and his partner, Larry Metzing, started Indiana Business Brokers, Inc. In early 1998, Indiana Business Brokers acquired Wolfe Business Resource Corporation and changed the name to Indiana Business Resource, Inc. Mr. Hester brings a unique and extensive background of experience to the small and mid-sized transaction as an intermediary. His experience includes 17 years of acquisitions and finance as an active intermediary for clients throughout Indiana. Mr. Metzing began his career in 1970 with the public Accounting Firm of Ernst & Ernst in Indianapolis. He joined Indiana National Bank, as director of Internal Audit followed by director of the Commercial Credit function and member of the Commercial Loan Committee. In 1980, he formed an entity to acquire, own, operate, and, eventually, sell a chain of nursing homes. In 1981, Mr. Metzing and his partner, Dick Hester, formed Indiana Business Brokers, Inc. In early 1998, Indiana Business Brokers acquired Wolfe Business Resource Corporation and changed the name to Indiana Business Resource, Inc. Mr. Metzing has also been an investor or principal in several other businesses to include: healthcare, apparel manufacturing, office coffee service, retail chocolate franchise, insurance brokerage, domestic product manufacturing, Pan American games licensee, residential real estate development, and residential construction. Mr. Metzing brings a unique and extensive background of experience to the M&A transaction as an intermediary. His experience includes 17 years of acquisitions and finance as an active intermediary for clients throughout Indiana. Larry Battershell has been involved with business opportunity sales since 1987. Mr. Battershell has a BS from the University of Illinois and a JD from St. Louis University. Mr. Pierce began his career in 1970 with the public Accounting Firm of Ernst & Ernst in Indianapolis. He joined Central Soya Co. of Fort Wayne, IN as an Internal Auditor and subsequently held positions as an Accounting Manager and Financial Analyst for International Operations. In 1980, he joined A. E. Staley Mfg. Co. of Decatur, IL as a Division Controller. In 1987, he joined Dow AgroSciences as Controller for United AgriSeeds (a wholly owned sub of Dow Chemical) and subsequently held positions as Financial Systems Development Project Leader, Global Cost Accounting Manager, and Credit Manager of Dow AgroSciences, Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Pierce has extensive financial management experience in large and small corporate environments involving manufacturing and distribution. As a Credit Manager, he has been actively engaged with customers and clients throughout North America with a financial risk portfolio in excess of $500 million. In this role, he has become an expert in risk assessment and analyzing financial information of small and medium sized companies. As a Business Broker with Sunbelt Indiana Business Resource, Ralana comes to the table with over seven years of experience in the Business Brokerage industry. Prior to making the transition to Business Broker, as Marketing Director for the firm Ralana specialized in Marketing small to mid-sized businesses in the Indiana marketplace.

Ralana’s comprehensive knowledge and experience in the business sales process, from Listing to Closing of a business transaction, enable her to uniquely offer a value-added resource to both Buyers and Sellers alike.
