Birnie Harper is owner and President of Sunbelt Business Brokers of Fort Smith. Birnie is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and the Harvard Business School. Prior to starting his Sunbelt office, Birnie was President of the Wortz Company, a national private label manufacturer of crackers and cookies. Prior to Wortz, he was President of Mid-America Industries, a distributor of automotive replacement parts. He serves as Trustee and Treasurer of Sparks Regional Medical Center. He is also on the board and a past President of the Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club. He is a former President and current board member of the Good Samaritan clinic. In the past he has served as board member and President of the Fort Smith Museum of History and on the boards of the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce, Girls, Inc., the Fort Smith United Way and the Fort Smith Public Library. He is married to Fern and has four children.
