John took this position after 23 years in Corporate America (responsible for a $430M business) and after working with early stage growth companies in the venture capital arena to identify real, sustainable customer and owner/shareholder value to secure capital investments/liquidity events.
John is no stranger to business ownership though having owned a small auto dealership, a painting business and a real-estate development company. He understands how challenging and rewarding business ownership truly is.
John and his wife first moved to Colorado in 1994. He now has 2 children and is very involved in their lives; teaching at school, coaching soccer and leading a YMCA program with about 200 members. He is an active member of Rotary International and his Church and is involved in numerous outdoor activities including skiing, sailing (trans Atlantic sailor), scuba instruction and mountain biking.

Brian Cross - CBI is a Partner in Sunbelt Business Advisors - Denver, a company that has successfully marketed over 400 businesses in virtually
every industry segment in the Rocky Mountain Region. He has worked almost
daily with financial institutions to get these acquisitions financed and is intimately familiar with the world of franchising (both existing and startups). Brian is driven by a desire to help both current and prospective business owners avoid making the same needless errors he sees over and over again. He teaches a business class focused on helping business owners both personally and in their businesses and is writing a book along the same lines.
Brian is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served his country as a pilot in the Air Force. While at the Academy he was a First Team All-American Collegiate Athlete. His time in the military, as well as his pursuit of excellence as an aviator and an athlete taught him many principles that he applies today in his personal life and business life.
He is a licensed real estate agent, a licensed commercial and residential real estate appraiser, a Certified Business Intermediary as well as the holder of a Series 7 license.
Brian has been happily married for 15 years and has three children. He serves on the boards of a variety of non-profit, charitable and civic organizations, is a founder of Weavers (a business leadership organization in Colorado
Springs) and is currently active in a number of men's ministries at New Life Church in Colorado Springs.

Brian Mueller is a senior broker with Sunbelt Business Advisors. He joined Sunbelt in early 2004 and is a licensed real estate agent as well. Brian has a degree in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, and has varied small business ownership experience, including a food and wine publication that he was a partner in starting and ran for 4+ years. Brian has lived in Colorado since 2003, is married, and enjoys many of the outdoor activities the state has to offer such as: skiing, hiking, and various sporting events.
